Floral Art Workshop Content

During the workshop, our florist will introduce each plant for the preparation. Then, she will teach you the rules of construction and placement and demonstrate the skills of floral. Finally, all the participants will finish their beautiful work with their new knowledge.

In the first of a series of working with fresh flowers, we will be learning some important elements and principles of floral artistry.  By the end of our first lesson- ‘how to construct a mixed bouquet’ -, we will have learned- choosing your flowers and flower care, foliage selection, preparation of product, rules of construction, placement, finishing, and then binding (useful for wedding bouquets). This all-around style of bouquet is suitable for all occasions, including a wedding bouquet, and is the basis of all construction of floral art. This is a great introduction to the world of giving flowers, a fantastic life skill, and an insight into the art of floristry.

For this session, all participant needs to bring their own vases to the workshop.

We will prepare about 10 plants (including all flowers and greens) for the workshop.

The ticket includes All materials and beverages.

Little Flower Van Florist

20 years of Florist Experience

Certificate in Floristry

I have been a florist for about 20 years. I qualified later in my career after being a passionate gardener and love of flower arranging. Floral art has always interested me and learning a new life skill was why I enrolled to study my certificate in floristry. I am a mother of 3 grown children and a grandmother of 7. I have lived in TAS for 8 years after moving from Western Australia. I have run and now own the flower van formerly known as ‘the flower barrow ' for 5 years. It has become my passion, life and love.
